The useful life of the salt licks is very long due to their hardness. You can see in our videos that even the sows only bite off small pieces and then pick them up. At some point they move on and come back the next day / night.

Wetness / rain: For longer periods of rain, we recommend a simple cover with a small wooden board, stone, etc. Under the menu item PRACTICE TIPS you will find a few practical options.
Use / Use:
Black, red, Sika, fallow and larger predatory game nibble on the lick stones and bite off small pieces. Roe deer, mouflon, chamois, dam and smaller predators lick the stones.

In general, game is generally skeptical and cautious about new smells. It is therefore possible that the game in question does not immediately accept the new products. However, this is completely different from region to region. For some customers it only takes a few days, for others (we were one of them in the beginning), it can take up to 6-8 weeks. Once the game has tested these products, the attractiveness is enormous. It is important, especially with sows, not to use too much additional feeding material in the same feeding place or place. Then it can be that sows, who have possibly already enjoyed several feeding places in other districts, no longer want to expend themselves on the hard lick stones
