Practical tip 1: Attachment of the leak/lick stones:
with a 180 mm screw + M24 washer, with a rope or chain (on a tree), with a pole (in the ground, in a tree stump),
Recommendation: on a pole with a cover (you can find fastening sets with and without a pole under accessories!)
Important: not directly on the ground without a base.
Practical tip 2: in wet conditions / rain:
When installing the lickstones, we recommend using a simple cover to extend their durability. In our area, we use small boards that we lay on top or screw on with a small angle.
This is particularly effective during longer periods of rain and prolongs durability.
Practical tip 3: when using for the first time:
When using the products for the first time, it may take some time for the game to discover and accept the 'new' option.
This time varies greatly from region to region. Sometimes it is only 2-3 days, sometimes it takes longer. In our case, it sometimes took up to 6 weeks. If you have any questions, please contact us by email, we will be happy to advise you.
Reason: the game is always skeptical when new smells appear on a feeding area and must first get used to them.
Procedure for first use:
1. lead the game to the first stone:
In order to keep the game occupied on the stones for as long as possible, we produce them very compacted (hard). For this reason, the stones have a good taste, but only a slight scent. The reason is the hardness.
The concept of the stones is based on the longest possible service life.
Important: The game must first recognize the taste.
It is therefore important to introduce the game to the stones the first time they are used. This can be accelerated by the following means::
- by throwing cherry material close to the lick stone attachment | for example with Wildlutscher boilies, or with other corn (preferably scented)
- by spraying liquid bait or attractants onto the stone
It varies from region to region how quickly the respective game accepts the stones. It can happen very quickly, or it can take weeks. Patience is required here. We hunters are naturally familiar with this.
Once the game has recognized the taste, the stones are a constant focal point.
2. additional feeding near the stones:
Additional feeding near the stones should only take place in small quantities. Game will always take the easier option for food. If the game is full, it will not go to hard stones. In other words: If you put out too much cherry material in the same place, you will not be successful with the stones.
3. placement: To prolong the service life of the lickstones, we recommend protecting them from the rain and covering them with a board, for example. (You can find installation examples and installation sets under Practical tips)
Questions and answers /FAQ:
Durability of the Wildlutscher lickstones:
Due to their hardness, the lickstones have a very long service life. You can see in our videos that even the sows only bite off small pieces and then pick them up. At some point they move on and come back the next day/night.
Special lick blocks with grain maize or peas: approx. 8 to weeks, lick blocks with ground maize or wheat: approx. 6 to 8 weeks (if protected from rain!)
Moisture/rain: To extend the service life of the lick blocks, we recommend protecting them from rain and covering them with a board, for example. (You can find installation examples and installation sets under Practical tips)
Application/use:
Black, red, sika, fallow deer and larger predators nibble on the lickstones and bite off small pieces. Roe deer, mouflon, chamois, fallow deer and smaller predators lick the stones.
Practical tip on lickstones: Due to their degree of hardness, lickstones are defined by taste and only slightly by smell. This means that it takes a while for the game to accept the stones when they are first used. You can speed this up by using bait spray, attractant booster spray or boilies to attract the game to the stones.
Attachment heights: - Wild boar 0.80 to 1 m + fallow deer up to 1.40 m / red deer 1.20 to 1.60 m
Ingredients: You can see the exact composition of our products in the individual products. We only use 100% natural ingredients, without any synthetic substances or similar. Our products also contain vitamins and minerals.
Production of the lickstones: The ingredients are heated to 120 degrees and then mechanically pressed. This ensures that they are germ-free, uniquely hard and therefore durable and long-lasting

Important: In general on the subject of attractants: Game is generally skeptical and cautious about new odors. It is therefore possible that the game in question will not immediately accept the new products. However, this varies greatly from region to region. For some customers it only takes a few days, for others (we were one of them in the beginning) it can take up to 6-8 weeks. Once the game has tested these products, the attracting effect is enormous. It is important, especially with sows, not to use too much additional kirr material in the same feeding area or place. This can mean that sows, which may have already enjoyed several feeders in other hunting grounds, no longer want to spend time on the hard licks.
Which products for which game species: Based on our own experience and that of our customers, we have allocated products to individual game species. Here too, the acceptance of the product types varies from region to region. You can find your favorite products under the individual game species. There are also sample packs compiled for the respective game species. If a product does not work, please let us know. We will find a solution.
